Children are at the heart of Stondon Stompers.  Our priority is providing a fun, friendly, happy environment to enable all children to reach their full potential, at their own pace.

Children learn best through play and exploration, we support this by providing a range of child-led and adult initiated activities. At Stompers we give children the freedom they need to explore & enjoy their environment.

All children are appointed a key person, they will be your main point of contact and keep track of your child’s learning & development during their time at Stondon Stompers.

 

Parents/Carers have access to our Tapestry app, where you will receive regular photos, observations and information, letting you see what your child has been up to with us.

Refurbishment

In spring  2025 we signed a lease agreement to allow us sole use of the village hall building, allowing us to drop the 'pack away' status we have always carried. With the support of the parish council who own the building, this has allowed us to begin long awaited changes to the preschool.

Over summer 2025 we have undertaken a large scale refurbishment project to the building. This has allowed us to re-arrange the space, creating dedicated rooms for the different age groups. Our 3-4 year old room is already in use, with our 2-3's room due to open after October half term and all being well from January 2026 we will be able to lower our age range to accommodate 1-2 year old's in their own dedicated space.
